Are you working on technology or scientific research that aims to make the world a substantially better place? Is it something that may have commercial potential?
If so, you have a chance to become a UC Berkeley 2006 Technology Breakthrough Winner. Winners will receive $25,000 in cash prizes in addition to recognition and connections with industry and investors.

In 2 pages or less, answer the following:
-What is your technology/science?
-What important or valuable problem can you solve with your technology/science, (i.e., how will the world be improved)?
-Why do you think that adoption may begin within 5 years?
-What trend will increase the need for your work?

students, faculty, and staff who are developing a new technology or
scientific innovation.
