방 렌트 관련 사기 주의글입니다.

가을 출국자분들 중에 필요로 하시는 분이 계실 듯하여 KGSA 페북 클럽에 올렸던 것을 복사해 둡니다. 처음 출국하시는 경우에는 학교에서 제공되는 하우징(International House, UC Village, Jackson House, Manville 등)을 이용하시거나, 과 이메일을 통하여 소개되는 집을 얻으시거나, 사설 하우징을 얻으실 경우에는 웹상에서 모든 것을 해결하기보다는 1-2주 일찍 출국하셔서 숙소에서 머물면서 직접 보러 다니신 후 계약하시는 게 가장 안전한 것 같습니다. International House 등의 경우에는 호불호가 많이 갈리는 편이니 1년 계약을 먼저 해두기보다는 한 학기 계약을 해두고 차후에 연장할만하다는 판단이 들면 연장하는 방법도 있습니다. 

안녕하세요. Craigslist 방 렌트 관련하여 사기가 의심되는 광고가 돌고 있어 주의드립니다. 시세에 비해 가격이 비정상적으로 싸거나, 직접 만나서 계약을 진행할 수 없다고 주장하며 먼저 현금을 요구하는 경우에는 우선 경계하시기를 당부드립니다. 광고를 보고 문의했더니 아래와 같은 식으로 답장이 오네요.

Thanks for your email response, i am so excited you are interested in my apartment which i am giving out for rent. Actually the apartment is still very much available for rent. I resided in the apartment with my Husband and our 2 years son, Before we relocated here in Virginia, USA due to my Husband new post as the leading Evangelist here with St. Michael's Church.

The apartment is available for 1,500$ per monthly including the utilities and the deposit is $6,00 the total is ($2,100), which i think is not too much, i just need someone with an open heart, love and clean to occupy the home and put all my worries off concerning the maintenance of the apartment . Since i am not residing there again. As i told you earlier in the apartment listing.

The accommodation comprises of 2Bedroom, 2Bathroom. Kitchen, Breakfast room, Bedroom, Bathroom and a separate WC..Facilities Internet connection, Electronics like satellite TV and which you have to pay for the subscription, a sony DVD player, air conditioning, alarm system ETC.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary cooking utensils, refrigerator-freezer, four-hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
Also the keys to the flat are right here with me, and the document. Which i can send to you after all necessary agreement has be accomplished.

Also i will like you to know that the rent charges is not really the issue , but your absolute maintenance of the apartment , because that is the only valuable property. So i wouldn't want an violation of my property if finally rented by you. I will like you to treat the apartment as your own okay.

Once again, we are giving you this on trust and do not disappoint us and i promise you that you will love the apartment. Here are the contents of the packages that will be deliver to you via D H L courier service.

1)Entrance and the rooms Keys
2)Paper/Permanent house form (Containing your reference details)
3)The House documentary file.
4)First Month Rent Payment Receipt
